Hi! I'm Kimberly.
I've practiced Yang style tai chi for eight years.
I've studied with Kim Kanzelberger, owner/director of Center States Tai Chi Chuan in Kansas City, since 2015. Cheng Man-ching's 37-movement form has been the mainstay of my personal practice. I have also studied tui shou (sensing hands or push hands), a two-person training exercise that complements tai chi practice. More recently, I've studied Tai Chi Fundamentals, a simplified program of Yang style tai chi.
For me, tai chi is a great way to release stress and anxiety, feel connected in mind and body, practice meditation, and simply be in the present moment. I also enjoy practicing in the company of a wonderful tai chi community. Because tai chi has enhanced my life in so many ways, I founded Sparrow Tai Chi to share this amazing art and practice with others.
I teach in a variety of settings including community classes, workplace wellness programming, private group classes, and private individual instruction in person and via Zoom. Email me for more info or if you'd like to have an introductory phone call or Zoom chat.
