 What is tai chi?

Tai chi can be described in many ways, and people practice it for many reasons and benefits. 

Tai chi is an internal martial art, a moving meditation, a low-impact exercise, a spiritual discipline, a method for cultivating life-force energy, and an evidence-based health practice, among many other descriptions.

At its core, however, the practice of tai chi consists of a series of flowing movements that create harmony between the mind and body. 

​Mission

Sparrow Tai Chi's mission is to share tai chi with anyone interested in improving their ability to calm and center their body and mind.

​Practicing the flowing motion of tai chi while being mindful helps us nurture our own well-being, strengthen our body, experience positive emotional states, and feel a greater sense of harmony within ourselves and with our environment.
